Hammered Out Welding Academy is a Texas Workforce Commission-licensed private welding school and an American Welding Society Accredited Test Facility in Tyler. Its two 192-hour classes run for 12 weeks in small morning or afternoon cohorts. Foundation in Welding Level 1 combines extensive shop practice in Stick, MIG, flux-cored and TIG welding with cutting, blueprint reading, welding symbols and fabrication. Pipe Welding Level 2 advances qualified students into all-position SMAW pipe work, pipe fitting and fabrication. Instruction uses AWS D1.1 structural requirements as a foundation and includes preparation relevant to employer and welder-qualification tests.
