Harford Community College is a public community college in Maryland. Its noncredit Welding Certification program is delivered at the Workforce Training Center at Water's Edge in Belcamp. The 12-week sequence combines Arc Welding Fundamentals and Intermediate Welding, with safety, welding-symbol instruction and hands-on practice in MIG, TIG, Stick, flux-cored welding and oxyfuel cutting. Students who finish both required courses may attempt a weld test aligned with AWS D1.1 structural codes and receive a qualification document recognized by AWS.
