Henderson Community College provides hands-on welding instruction in electric-arc and oxyacetylene welding, MIG, TIG, blueprint reading and work with mild steel, aluminum, cast iron and stainless steel. Current credentials include a customizable General Occupational and Technical Studies AAS that may incorporate welding certificates, plus focused certificates in SENSE Level I, MIG, TIG, Stick, gas welding, three pipeline processes, production-line welding, arc cutting and entry-level helper skills. Official plans range from 4 or 5 credits for narrowly focused certificates to 36–37 credits for SENSE Level I.
