Hennepin Technical College offers Welding and Metal Fabrication at its Brooklyn Park Campus in daytime and evening formats. The 55-credit diploma develops entry-level ability in MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Core welding, cutting, blueprint interpretation, layout, fabrication and automated welding. Four occupational certificates provide shorter routes in MIG production welding, TIG production welding, structural iron fabrication and repair, or robotic arc welding. Current 2026-27 catalog plans specify hands-on course sequences and restrict all five awards to Brooklyn Park.
