Honolulu Community College offers hands-on Welding Technology training at its Dillingham Boulevard campus through a 26-credit Certificate of Achievement and a 63–64-credit Associate in Applied Science. The certificate concentrates on introductory and advanced arc welding, shop tools, cutting and blueprint reading. The associate degree continues into oxyacetylene, TIG, MIG and Flux-Core welding, inspection and testing, and basic and advanced fabrication. The curriculum is designed around American Welding Society entry-level skill standards and uses both conventional equipment and a virtual welding machine.
