Honolulu Community College offers hands-on Welding Technology training at its Dillingham Boulevard campus through a 26-credit Certificate of Achievement and a 63–64-credit Associate in Applied Science. The certificate concentrates on introductory and advanced arc welding, shop tools, cutting and blueprint reading. The associate degree continues into oxyacetylene, TIG, MIG and Flux-Core welding, inspection and testing, and basic and advanced fabrication. The curriculum is designed around American Welding Society entry-level skill standards and uses both conventional equipment and a virtual welding machine.

This 26-credit certificate covers introductory and advanced arc-welding courses, shop and hand tools, plasma and air-carbon arc cutting, and blueprint reading. This 63–64-credit AAS builds on the certificate's arc-welding, cutting, shop-tool and blueprint foundation. Third- and fourth-semester study adds oxyacetylene welding, TIG, MIG and Flux-Core welding, fabrication and advanced fabrication, plus inspection and testing principles and general education.
