Idaho State University College of Technology offers hands-on welding training for structural steel, pipe, high-purity, power-generation, petrochemical, and related work. Students train in a dedicated welding lab with manual and automated processes, study welding theory, shop math, blueprint reading, layout, fabrication, and pipefitting, and can pursue a one-year Welder General certificate, two-year Welder-Fitter certificate or AAS, or a one-semester nuclear welding certificate.
