The first 78-hour session provides foundational, hands-on welding training in shop safety, oxyfuel cutting, shielded metal arc welding setup, base-metal preparation and fillet welding. The 13-week evening course uses industry-standard equipment, aligns with New York State apprenticeship standards and makes completers eligible to earn NCCER Level I certification.

The advanced 48-hour session builds on Session I with welding-detail drawings, plasma arc cutting and MIG, flux-cored and TIG welding on plate and aluminum. Students complete more complex welds with different metals and alloys, develop fabrication and structural-welding skills, and can earn NCCER Level II certification after successful completion. Session I is required.
