Jefferson-Lewis BOCES Adult Education offers a two-session, hands-on welding program at the Charles H. Bohlen Jr. Technical Center. Session I develops safety, oxyfuel cutting, metal preparation and shielded metal arc welding skills toward NCCER Level I. Session II adds welding-detail drawings, plasma cutting, MIG, flux-cored and TIG welding on plate and aluminum, with fabrication-oriented work toward NCCER Level II. Both evening sessions align with New York State Department of Labor apprenticeship standards.
