Kentucky Welding Institute offers three full-time certificate programs at its Flemingsburg campus: Certified Pipe Welder, Certified Structural Welder and Certified Fabricator Welder. Programs run 13 to 26 weeks at 40 hours per week and combine classroom and extensive shop work in welding processes, cutting, blueprint reading, fit-up, metallurgy and job-site credentials. Official curricula include weld qualification testing to AWS D1.1 and, for the pipe program, ASME Section IX.
