Lone Star College offers stackable credit welding credentials and a Welding Technology Associate of Applied Science across multiple centers, plus a noncredit AWS Welder Occupational Skills Award at Conroe Center. Credit programs provide hands-on Stick, TIG, and MIG work in four positions on plate, structural shapes, and pipe, with layout, fabrication, metallurgy, and inspection. Focused Level I certificates develop process-specific skills, the Level II certificate broadens preparation, and the AAS adds general education.
