The 31-credit certificate develops entry-level welding skills for construction and manufacturing through lecture and laboratory courses. Required work covers stick, MIG and TIG welding, print reading, inspection, oxy-fuel and plasma cutting, fitting, assembly and fabrication; program outcomes also document flux-core welding and work in positions through 6G. Advanced coursework provides AWS micro-credential opportunities and preparation for AWS certification tests.
