Macomb Community College provides academic welding training through associate-degree and basic and advanced certificate pathways at South Campus. The curriculum covers welding safety, metallurgy, equipment operation and maintenance, SMAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, pipe welding and certification coursework. The college also offers a separate 17-week Michigan Maritime Manufacturing welding program at M-TEC with intensive hands-on preparation for maritime and defense manufacturing.
