McDowell Technical Community College offers four Welding Technology credentials: an associate degree, a diploma, and Level I and Level II certificates. Official program information describes classroom and practical instruction in consumable- and non-consumable-electrode welding and cutting, technical drawings, welding mathematics, metallurgy, inspection, destructive and nondestructive testing, and fabrication-related applications. The curriculum is designed for entry-level work in welding, metalworking, construction, manufacturing, fabrication and quality control.
