A 72-hour introductory course providing practical MIG, TIG and stick welding experience on plate and pipe. TIG work includes AC welding of aluminum and DC welding of steel and stainless steel. Instruction is approximately 90 percent hands-on in a welding lab, and successful assessments may yield credit for MET 232.
