The 32-credit Welding Training Credential combines AWS SENSE 1A and 1B instruction with metal fabrication, advanced welding and either pipe welding or basic machine shop. Course descriptions document Stick, MIG, TIG and flux-cored welding; oxyacetylene brazing; oxyfuel, plasma and air-carbon-arc cutting; blueprint and welding-symbol interpretation; inspection; and shop safety. Students can earn AWS SENSE Level I recognition, and advanced courses include preparation for AWS structural plate testing; the pipe option addresses AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX power-piping work.

This 60-credit-minimum associate degree combines advanced integrated manufacturing with a welding course sequence. The welding track requires AWS SENSE 1A and 1B, metal fabrication and advanced welding, with pipe welding available as an option. Supporting coursework includes machining, CAD, blueprint reading, metallurgy, industrial mathematics, electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, and project-based manufacturing. The required advanced-welding course prepares students for AWS structural-code plate tests.

This 12-credit CTE certificate uses the same four welding courses as the college's pre-apprentice certificate: AWS SENSE 1A and 1B, metal fabrication and pipe welding. This 90-hour introductory course combines classroom instruction and hands-on practice in basic MIG welding. The official page says the $1,600 fee includes an auto-darkening helmet, gloves and a welding jacket; students provide work boots. Classes are listed for Harrison, Mt. Pleasant and the Huron Area Technical Center in Bad Axe, with dates and times to be announced.
