The 34-credit diploma provides hands-on training in Stick, MIG, TIG, and oxyfuel welding, cutting and brazing. Students learn equipment setup, safety, blueprint reading, welding symbols and weld inspection before progressing to advanced-position MIG and TIG work, stainless steel and aluminum applications, fabrication projects, a capstone and an internship opportunity. Official outcomes include setting up for and passing an AWS D1.1 bend test.
