Mitchell Community College offers three Welding Technology credentials: a 66-credit associate degree, 41-credit diploma and 18-credit certificate. Required coursework builds hands-on skills in Stick, MIG, flux-core and TIG welding, plate and pipe applications, cutting and fabrication. The associate pathway also includes classroom study in mathematics, print interpretation, metallurgy, inspection and destructive and nondestructive testing, with day sequencing and more limited evening offerings.
