Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Center for Workforce Development offers an 18-week part-time welding program at the BOCES 2 Career & Technical Education Center (WEMOCO) in Spencerport. The 118-hour sequence combines 108 hours of in-person welding instruction with 10 hours of online OSHA training. Shop instruction covers Stick, MIG, pulsed MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding; plasma and oxyacetylene cutting; sheet-metal work; and steel and aluminum applications. Supporting topics include welding safety, blueprint reading, fabrication layout, welding symbols and job-readiness skills. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and OSHA-10 credential.
