A 31-credit, nine-month certificate integrating welding theory and shop practice. Required courses cover oxyacetylene and electric-arc fundamentals, MIG, TIG, stick and flux-core equipment and techniques, repair and maintenance welding, a supervised practicum and structural-code qualification-test preparation. The learning outcomes require students to pass a plate qualification test to AWS D1.1.
