Moraine Valley Community College offers six welding certificates ranging from focused 8- and 9-credit entry pathways through 26- and 33-credit combination and advanced programs. Current official curricula provide hands-on instruction in arc and gas welding, SMAW, MIG, TIG, flux-core and submerged-arc processes, pipe welding, brazing, braze welding, oxyfuel cutting and plasma cutting. Students can build targeted skills for entry-level work or progress into advanced fabrication, construction and industrial welding applications.
