Morgan Community College offers a Welding Technology Associate of Applied Science and focused certificates in basic welding, AWS skills, aluminum and stainless steel, MIG, TIG, pipe welding and shielded-metal-arc welding. Students train in the Fort Morgan welding lab through sequenced shop courses covering stick, MIG, TIG, flux-core and pipe welding, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, layout and fabrication, metal properties and related technical subjects. The AAS combines broad process training with general education and preparation for entry-level welding or production responsibilities.
