Students may progress from equipment setup and basic joints to out-of-position welds, groove joints, flux-core wire, pipe introduction, stainless steel and aluminum work, depending on the selected course.

Four years of welding related technical instruction aligned with Delaware registered-apprenticeship requirements. The 600-hour curriculum covers Stick, MIG, flux-core, TIG and pipe welding, together with welding theory, drawing interpretation, measurements, quality and safety. Classes use a hybrid format at Delcastle and follow NCCER curriculum; completion of RTI and employer-based on-the-job requirements leads to the Delaware journeyperson credential.
