New Castle School of Trades offers a 75-quarter-credit, 1,200-clock-hour Combination Welding diploma at its New Castle and East Liverpool campuses. The hands-on program covers Stick, MIG, flux-core and TIG welding, pipe and fabrication work, oxyfuel, carbon-arc and plasma cutting, and related trade theory. Training is based on ASME and AWS specifications and explicitly prepares students to attempt qualification tests; day and evening study is available in New Castle and daytime study in East Liverpool.
