New England Institute of Technology offers a six-term Associate in Science in Welding Engineering Technology with extensive hands-on and laboratory work. Students study Stick, MIG, flux-core and TIG welding, pipe and fabrication applications, oxy-acetylene welding and cutting, plasma and air-carbon-arc cutting, brazing and robotic welding. The 103–105-quarter-credit curriculum combines technical theory, CAD and materials study with shop practice, and its AWS-approved curriculum can lead to AWS SENSE Level I recognition.

Welding Engineering Technology

A 103–105-quarter-credit associate degree completed in six terms, or as few as 18 months. Nearly half of the technical coursework is laboratory based.
