This 390-hour daytime program trains students in MIG, flux-core, TIG and stick welding, plus oxyfuel and plasma cutting, carbon arc gouging, fitting and fabrication. Classroom and shop topics include welding symbols and prints, inspection, rigging, AWS codes, equipment use and employability. Students who demonstrate sufficient skill may take optional AWS D1.1 structural steel tests in stick and/or flux-core welding for an additional fee.

This 13-week daytime program develops pipe-welding skills in the 2G, 5G and 6G positions, using TIG or E6010 for root passes and E7018 stick welding for fill and cover passes. Students also train in oxyfuel and plasma cutting, carbon arc gouging, coupon preparation, fitting and fabrication, prints and weld symbols, inspection, rigging and code requirements. Admission requires a passed SMAW D1.1 qualification, and qualified students may take optional AWS pipe certification tests for an additional fee.
