North Dakota State College of Science offers Welding Technology associate and certificate pathways at both Wahpeton and Fargo, an Industry Welding Technology associate degree in Fargo, and four focused Fargo certificates in MIG, TIG, Stick and flux-core welding. Current curricula combine shop practice with welding theory and document pipe and plate welding, fabrication, oxyfuel, plasma and air-carbon-arc cutting, pulsed MIG, CNC plasma cutting and robotic welding. The advanced Welding Technology pathway also emphasizes AWS welder qualifications.
