Northampton Community College

Northampton Community College offers welding instruction at its Bethlehem Campus in the Hartzell Advanced Technology Hall. Its current pathway comprises a 27-credit Welding Fundamentals specialized diploma, a 50-credit Welding and Fabrication certificate and a 68-credit Welding Technology associate degree. The college describes the training as approximately 90 percent hands-on, with instruction in major arc-welding and cutting processes, fabrication, metallurgy, pipe work and automated technology. All three credentials explicitly prepare students for AWS certification examinations, including AWS SENSE credentials.
