Northeast Alabama Community College offers four stackable Welding Technology credentials: a 12-credit short-term certificate, a 15-credit structural-welding short-term certificate, a 48-credit certificate and a 66-credit Associate in Applied Science. Training is housed in the Workforce Development Skills Training Center at the Rainsville campus and uses individual welding booths, an expanded fabrication area and a CNC plasma-cutting system. Current instruction covers stick, MIG, TIG and flux-core welding, with pathways into structural, pipe and fabrication work; the catalog also documents oxyfuel, plasma-arc, carbon-arc and robotic-welding coursework.
