Northeast State Community College prepares welders and metal fabricators through an Industrial Technology A.A.S. concentration in Welding/Metal Fabrication and an embedded Combination Welding technical certificate. The welding curriculum covers oxyfuel welding and cutting, plasma and carbon-arc cutting, Flux-Core, MIG, TIG and Stick welding. Current course information also documents fabrication tools, inert-gas welding on ferrous and nonferrous metals, and pipe welding in 2G, 5G and 6G positions. Classroom topics include metallurgy, welding drawings and material testing, while laboratory courses emphasize hands-on skill development.
