A two-year applied associate concentration preparing students for welding and metal-fabrication work. Department instruction covers MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, oxyfuel welding and cutting, plasma cutting and carbon-arc cutting. Current inert-gas and pipe-welding courses add all-position work on ferrous and nonferrous metals, fabrication, and 2G, 5G and 6G pipe practice using SMAW and GTAW.
