Northeast Wisconsin Technical College offers a 32-credit Welding technical diploma at Green Bay and Marinette, four short process certificates at both campuses, and Green Bay credentials in metal fabrication and weld inspection. The welding diploma covers Stick, MIG, TIG and flux-core welding, pipe and plate work, fabrication, oxyacetylene, plasma and carbon-arc processes, submerged-arc and metal-core welding. The Metal Fabrication diploma adds CNC cutting, forming and robotic welding. NWTC explicitly trains diploma students to AWS and ASME code requirements with testing on campus, while the Weld Inspection certificate prepares experienced learners for the AWS Certified Welding Inspector examination.
