Northern New Mexico College offers a Certificate in Welding Technology through its Technical Trades department. The current 24-credit curriculum provides hands-on training in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, thermal cutting, pipe-welding fundamentals, layout and metal fabrication. Students also study shop safety and print reading while working with industry-standard equipment. Official Technical Trades sources document welding facilities and instruction at both the Española and El Rito campuses.
