This 34-credit, nine-month cohort certificate starts only in the fall and uses a sequential accelerated structure. Twenty-nine welding credits cover two theory courses, two shop labs, blueprint reading, AWS-standardized welding symbols and nondestructive testing; five general-education credits include OSHA 10, first aid/CPR, student success, job-seeking and Native American studies. Current course descriptions document Stick, MIG and Flux-Core welding, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, brazing, plate work in all positions and pipe-position practice. The program prepares students for entry-level welding and metal-fabrication work.
