Oakland Community College offers two stackable Welding/Fabrication Technology credentials at the Auburn Hills Campus. The 15-credit Level I Certificate of Achievement develops foundational shop skills in GMAW, GTAW and SMAW, with introductions to FCAW and plasma-arc cutting. The 29-31 credit Level II Certificate adds fabrication-machine training, advanced GTAW, structural welding and fabrication, metallurgy and a technical elective. The broader program documents oxyfuel, plasma-arc and air-carbon-arc cutting and provides opportunities to earn Lincoln Electric LEEPS and other NC3 credentials.
