Pickens Technical College offers a 35-credit Welding Certificate combining classroom concepts with hands-on practice in a simulated shop using industry-grade equipment. The one-year curriculum covers oxyacetylene welding, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, structural welding, allied cutting processes, and layout and fabrication. Morning, afternoon, and postsecondary evening schedules are published. Students complete work aligned with AWS code standards, and the AWS plate-certification test is administered as part of the curriculum.
