Piedmont Community College offers a Welding Technology diploma, basic and intermediate certificates, and a current short-term Welding Level I course at its Person County Campus in Roxboro. Credit curricula combine classroom and shop training in Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding, pipe and fabrication work, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, brazing and soldering.
