The 96-credit AAS combines modular hands-on welding training with general education. Required welding courses cover Stick, MIG, pulsed MIG, gas-shielded and self-shielded Flux-Core, TIG, oxyacetylene cutting, structural code work, certification practice and fabrication; electives can add pipe and other specialty processes. PCC outcomes state that students weld to AWS D1.1 and prepare for third-party Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and pipe tests.
