Prince George's Community College

Prince George's Community College offers noncredit welding training through Continuing Education at its Largo campus. The current sequence includes Basic Arc Welding, Advanced Arc Welding and a one-day Welder Testing Course. Published instruction covers Stick and MIG welding, Flux-Core testing options, thermal and plasma cutting, air-carbon-arc cutting and gouging, and structural-welder performance testing. Basic and advanced courses combine classroom concepts with hands-on booth practice, and the advanced course is designed to prepare students for the AWS D1.1 structural-steel welder test.
