Ranken Technical College is a private nonprofit technical college with fabrication and welding training in St. Louis, Ashland and Perryville, Missouri. Its current day Certificate of Technology combines 30 technical credits with six general-education credits over two semesters; a nine-month evening certificate delivers the same welding curriculum two nights per week. Students work with Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core welding; oxyfuel and plasma cutting; carbon-arc gouging; plate and pipe; and structural, boiler-tube and piping fabrication. Current materials state that the program trains to AWS-equivalent proficiency and offers welding certification tests.
