Richmond Community College

Richmond Community College offers a noncredit workforce welding program at its Hamlet Campus. The two-semester pathway is organized around Welding I and Welding II: Welding I covers cutting processes, Stick plate welding and fabrication, while Welding II covers MIG, Flux-Core and TIG plate welding. Additional offerings provide focused practice in Stick plate, Stick pipe, TIG pipe and basic Stick/MIG repair welding. Training is hands-on in the Forte Building welding lab, and the college states that students completing Welding I or Welding II can obtain American Welding Society certifications.
