The 16-credit Welding Certificate is a one-semester, hands-on pathway for entry-level welding work. Required welding courses focus on MIG and TIG welding. Students practice welding in varied positions and joints, interpret welding codes, set and adjust welding machines, and use grinding, shaping and cutting tools. Supporting coursework covers blueprint reading, technical math, piping systems or an industrial-maintenance capstone, workplace safety and employment preparation.
