Riverland Community College is a public Minnesota community college serving southeastern Minnesota. Its current Welding Certificate is a 16-credit, one-semester program offered in Albert Lea with fall and spring starts. Hands-on coursework develops MIG and TIG welding skills in multiple positions and joints and covers welding codes, machine setup, grinding, shaping and metal cutting. The curriculum also includes blueprint reading, technical math, workplace safety and employment preparation.
