RIVEROAK Technical College offers two full-time postsecondary welding certificate programs at its Live Oak campus. The 1,050-hour Welding Technology program teaches Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding together with oxyacetylene welding and cutting. Graduates may continue into the 750-hour Welding Technology - Advanced program, which develops advanced Stick and TIG pipe-welding and fabrication skills. This 750-hour Postsecondary Career Certificate follows the core Welding Technology program and consists of Advanced Welder 1 and Advanced Welder 2. Current statewide curriculum documentation identifies advanced Stick welding, Class-B pipe welding, pipe-fitting fabrication and advanced TIG welding.
