San Jacinto College offers a stackable welding pathway at its Central and North campuses, ranging from a 17-credit art-welding occupational certificate through specialized 24-credit certificates, a 42-credit industrial-welder certificate, and a 60-credit Associate of Applied Science. Current curricula document hands-on Stick, MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, plate and pipe welding, metal fabrication, oxyfuel welding and cutting, and plasma cutting. The AAS adds general education, advanced technical work, leadership and project-management preparation, and a capstone or work-based learning option.
