A 54-credit diploma combining eight or more general-education credits with welding theory and shop practice. Required occupational courses cover oxyfuel cutting, Stick welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions, MIG, TIG, blueprint interpretation, and industrial qualification preparation. Students also select welding electives in advanced MIG or TIG, fabrication, pipe welding, Flux-Core, or industrial safety. Graduates are prepared to take industry qualification tests.
