Scott Community College is part of Eastern Iowa Community Colleges and offers welding training at its Blong Technology Center in Davenport. Students can enter through a 16-credit Fundamental Welding certificate, continue to an Advanced Welding certificate, or complete the 32-credit Welder diploma. Official sources emphasize hands-on lab instruction in MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, plasma and oxy-acetylene cutting, air arcing, and fabrication, with day and night options and accelerated summer certificate study.
