Somerset County Technology Center serves Somerset County high-school students and adults with career and technical education. Its secondary Welding Technology program combines metal design, fabrication, and repair with hands-on Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, TIG, oxyfuel, plasma, and air-carbon-arc cutting practice, plus soldering and brazing. A distinct 116-hour adult Basic Welding Technology course focuses on MIG, Flux-Core, manual plasma cutting, and manual oxyfuel cutting in an evening format.
