Southern Maine Community College — South Portland Campus
Southern Maine Community College offers a three-week Welding Academy at its Midcoast Campus in Brunswick in partnership with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works. The accelerated training covers Stick and Flux-Core welding, out-of-position T-joints and groove welds, oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, and destructive and nondestructive testing. SMCC's current academic catalog also includes an introductory credit course in Stick and oxy-fuel welding and cutting.
