This state-registered five-year apprenticeship combines paid daytime employment with a signatory contractor and related classroom instruction two evenings per week. Apprentices are paired with journeypersons for on-the-job training, receive progressive pay increases as requirements are met, and work toward journeyperson-level employment in welding within the piping trades. Prior documented experience may shorten the program if the apprenticeship committee grants credit.
