Southwest Wisconsin Technical College offers hands-on welding training at its Fennimore campus. Its Welding Technical Diploma develops proficiency in manual and semiautomatic welding across multiple metals and positions, with instruction in MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, oxyfuel operations, thermal cutting and gouging, brazing, and fabrication. The college also offers a 2026 Summer Welding Academy that packages six credits of introductory MIG, plasma cutting and gouging, and fabrication coursework into an eight-week daytime format.
