SOWELA Technical Community College offers a stackable Welding pathway consisting of a 15-credit Welders Helper career and technical certificate, a 27-credit SMAW Pipe Welder certificate of technical studies, and a Welding technical diploma. Official curricula cover oxyfuel, carbon-arc and plasma cutting; Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding; and pipe welding. SOWELA states that program completers cover AWS-designated skills and are prepared for the AWS Entry Level Welder Test.
