Spartanburg Community College

Spartanburg Community College offers a 27-credit Welding Certificate, a 61-credit Welding-General Technology AAS, and an 18-credit Advanced Welding Certificate. Students gain hands-on experience in Stick, TIG, MIG and Flux-Core welding, oxyfuel cutting, plate and pipe welding, fitting, and fabrication. The advanced certificate adds field welding, pipe fitting and qualification welding, with in-house testing toward SCC certification under AWS D1.1 structural-steel and/or ASME Section IX boiler-and-pressure-vessel codes.
