This three-quarter competency-based certificate combines classroom instruction and hands-on shop work. Students develop Stick, oxyacetylene, MIG and TIG welding skills, learn to cut and prepare materials, and fabricate welded projects. Day and evening options are offered, progression depends on demonstrating competencies, and students must earn at least a 2.5 GPA in support courses.
